Maguelone Pontier

Grand marché de Toulouse

Directrice Générale

After studying law and politics at leading Paris institutions such as HEC and the Sorbonne, Maguelone Pontier served as an advisor to the President of the FNSEA and to the Rungis International Market before becoming Secretary General of the Federation of Wholesale Markets. The daughter of farmers, she has remained closely connected to her roots: she now heads the Grand Marché and is also a partner with her father (Rouge Tanin) on the family farm in Hérault. Deeply attached to Toulouse, where she has lived for eight years, she chairs several local organisations, including ‘l’École Tremplins du Sport’ and ‘La Maison du Sport au féminin’. At the helm of the MIN, Maguelone Pontier and her team have expanded both the range of services and products offered, attracting many new businesses. Located at the heart of the future Food Campus, the Grand Marché is now recognised by food-industry professionals. A member of the Medef 31 executive board in charge of food-related issues, she also co-chairs the Blagnac Apprenticeship Training Centre (CFA).
