Jean-Baptiste Marty, a native of Castelnaudary, embodies the new generation of chefs deeply rooted in French culinary tradition. As the fourth generation to run the family restaurant ‘Chez Marty’, he carries on the art of cassoulet, the emblem of Chaurienne gastronomy. Trained from an early age within his family, he champions a sincere and generous cuisine of the terroir.
In 2024, he earned the title of World Cassoulet Champion in Toulouse, a distinction that celebrates his expertise and passion. True to his values of authenticity and sharing, Jean-Baptiste continues the family legacy with humility, modernising tradition without ever betraying it.
