Born in Pézenas, Jacques Mazerand is one of Occitanie’s emblematic chefs. Top of his class at the Saint-Chély-d’Apcher Hospitality School, he trained with Bocuse and Troisgros before founding, in 1989 with his brother Christian, the restaurant Le Mazerand in Lattes. For 37 years, his refined cuisine was recognized by both Michelin and Gault & Millau. A Maître Cuisinier de France and regional delegate for Occitanie, he has presided over the Club Chefs d’Oc since 2015.
Deeply committed, he actively promotes regional gastronomy, youth training, and various charitable initiatives. As a commentator on France Bleu Hérault, he also shares his passion through appearances in hospitality schools. Since 2025, he has been offering a private dining experience, giving cooking classes, and contributing to the creation of a new association of chefs in Occitanie.
