Gaël Tarantola is an artisan butcher and entrepreneur behind Boucherie Gras, a neo-butcher shop located on Place Arnaud-Bernard in Toulouse. After a career in mass retail, he transitioned into butchery, bringing a modern, demanding, and welcoming approach to Gras.
The concept he developed combines a traditional butcher shop, wine cellar, gourmet grocery, and bar, creating a hybrid social space. He places strong emphasis on high-quality sourcing, with local or certified meats that are fully traceable and respectful of animal welfare. Convinced of the importance of social connection, he hosts DJ nights, after-work gatherings, events, and shared plates within his butcher-restaurant. With Gras, Gaël Tarantola embodies a new generation of urban butcher-restaurateurs, deeply rooted in terroir yet firmly oriented toward the future.
